My stay at Rennies at Acheron was very happy and enjoyable and the host Marian was charming, warm and welcoming so that I felt completely at home in a comfortable and highly congenial environment. Marian was ably assisted by her two amiable, hospitable and thoughtful workers Tom and Hariette who also showed me every courtesy. I enjoyed the attractive amenities and spaciousness of the house and its furnishings with its delightful, decorative sculptured artworks, prints and paintings and lovely views of the fine surrounding farmland, hillscapes and the beautiful garden. It was a lovely experience of rural tranquillity and peace.

This was my first AirBnB experience as a solo traveller. Marian welcomed me like an old friend, introduced me to her friends and made sure that I was settled for dinner at her restaurant which is an amazing experience. The house is a fascinating and eclectic arrangement of art and furniture which is a lovely place to be, not to mention the gardens which are extensive and beautiful featuring an arrangement of art and sculpture. Marian was helpful in offering me advice on where to explore and ensured that I wanted for nothing when I returned. I had a lovely time Marian and Skinny the cat!

Marian was fantastic from start to finish, I booked last minute and Marian organised everything for us. We were lucky to meet her the next day, it was lovely to talk to her about her art and the house, she is warm and friendly and very interesting. The house itself was a dream come true for, art all over the walls, much of which Marian painted herself, huge green leather couches and comfy beds. Everything we needed was there and Marian even left us some treats. The gardens are incredible, an adventure in itself with sculptures and gorgeous plants and lawns it was so serene and relaxing. Marian also has a lovely little restaurant on the property which she showed us through, and we didn’t leave without a big bag of olives that she had prepared herself. I can’t wait to get back to there, I don’t think I have been so happy or relaxed in a long time, I highly recommend Rennies for people who are looking for something different, warm feelings and amazing art and sourroundings.
